Programmes

The Irish Institute of Pensions Management (IIPM) and National College of Ireland (NCI) are delighted to inform you about a range of exciting programmes which have been developed to respond to the changing needs of the pensions industry and the requirements of the Central Bank. These new programmes have been developed in consultation with industry and reflect the needs of pensions professionals working at all levels in the industry and the expectations of employers.

They have been approved by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC) and have undergone a rigorous quality assurance process, resulting in the programmes being placed on the National Framework of Qualifications. The IIPM and NCI have been commended by HETAC in creating programmes that demonstrate strong links between industry and education providers.

The following programmes are available from the NCI:

The IIPM supports trustees by holding examinations leading to a Certificate of Essential Pensions Knowledge, which provides formal recognition of pensions knowledge and acts as a useful test of trustees’ knowledge.The Certificate examination covers the Pensions Board recommended trustee training syllabus, using a comprehensive and unique on-line system.The flexibility of the system means that you can sit the exam when you want and as often as you want. There are no set times or formal exam halls. You can do it from the comfort of your own office or home, whenever and where ever you like.
